Usually, I am a Handler when it comes to Delta Green, but recently I had the chance to join a game as a player. The scenario was Whereabouts Unknown, the winner of the 2006 Shotgun Scenario Contest. This rambling post is about modifying and extending my 2024 mini-campaign The Lynchburg Cluster to turn it more into a sandbox. Do not read this if you don't want to be spoiled. And if you don't care about spoilers you should probably read or skim the campaign first.
I have been running the DG scenario database for almost three years now and it has grown a lot in that time. The submissions to the 2025 Shotgun Scenario Contest have pushed us to over 1000 tracked scenarios! This milestone deserves a blog post, so here I present some statistics about the current state of the database.
It has been a while since my last shotgun scenario review, mostly because I've been running my own scenarios. However, recently I got the chance to run Dreams in the Fish House by magnificentophat, so here's a review. There will be spoilers!
The end of the year also means the conclusion of the annual Shotgun Scenario Contest. This time there were a total of 81 submissions. You can read them all here.
In January I ran a jam on the N@TO-Discord. The goal was to create one-page horrors, mysteries or complications that can be easily slotted into an ongoing campaign, all on one page of a Google Doc. This was of course inspired by Dennis Detwiller's Two-Minute Terrors.
The jam got 18 submissions in total, which I would call a great success. All entries can be found in the contest doc. In the following I will go over each submission and share some thoughts.
